An elegant shape and a sleek, modern structure has catapulted Alexander McQueen’s ‘Heroine’ tote to iconic status.
Famed for precision, craftsmanship and attention to detail, Alexander McQueen’s qualities are as true of its luxurious bag collections as they are of its runway pieces. New ‘Heroine’ tote, constructed from flawless black leather and finished with gold hardware. This smart and elegantly designed carryall is perfect as part of a sleek workwear or lunch-date look – think pencil skirts and pointed pumps.
For fall/winter 2012, the house of McQueen is making a play for It-bag notoriety with the feminine and sculptural design of the Heroine, which comes in various leathers and sizes.
Described by McQueen as a “timeless luxury piece” the Heroine is the luxe love child of the satchel and the doctor’s bag, with a teardrop profile and short, tote-style handles.
To mark the launch, and McQueen’s increased focus on accessories, the Heroine is starring in its own campaign, shot by Dan Tobin, marking the first time McQueen has afforded an accessory such an honor.
A hefty price tag indeed, but much like the class A drug with which she virtually shares a name, when something this addictive, consumers seem find the money somehow.
