For Louis Vuitton Cruise 2015 collection, Nicolas Ghesquière revealed his new design, the Twist bag. The Twist bag is an answer from Louis Vuitton to Chanel Boy and Dior Diorama bags. The main feature of these bags is a long, adjustable chain combined with leather. The Chanel Boy bag was the first one to set the trend and all other brands followed up, to feature this ultra popular style in their collections.
The Louis Vuitton Twist bag has an interestedly designed “wave” base, which provides an extra space inside the bag. The extra-long chain handle can be worn cross-body, wrapped around the hand or hung from the shoulder. The new Twist features an updated version of the signature turn-lock. Rendered with a 3D bombé effect, the metal closure has a modern and architectural feel. To open the bag, a single smooth twist fits the letter “L” into the “V” with a satisfying click.
